Question: Should I be concerned about your capacity to handle rather large assembly orders?

Answer: This is one of the most commonly asked questions and the answer is no. For example, one of our customers was a manufacturer of complex components to the automotive industry. Crossroads was asked to assist in reducing their "Total Cost of Ownership" by producing sub-assembly kits. The normal monthly quantity of sub-assembly kits was in excess of 200,000.

Question: What types of metals can you process?

Answer: We can process both ferrous and non-ferrous metals up to 3/16" thickness.

Question: What is the maximum size sheet your shear can handle?

Answer: The maximum sheet size would be 60" x 120" and up to .125" thick.

Question: How about punching, what are your limitations?

Answer: Our 5-axis CNC machine is limited to a 48" x 96" sheet size and up to .187" thick. We also have a 60-ton OBI press which can accommodate single piece feeds or strip processing.

Answer: Not at this time, it is under consideration for future.

Question: Can you process other materials besides metals?

Answer: Yes, a good example would be plastics. We can easily punch plastics and even form plastics depending on the pliable properties involved.
