For over 60 years, Crossroads has been helping Indianapolis, central Indiana and Midwest based companies of all sizes focus on their core strengths, while lowering operational and equipment expenses related to their supply chains.

Crossroads Industrial Services employs more than 100 production workers at our 68,000 square-foot facility located minutes from interstate I-465 and I-70 on the east side of Indianapolis. Our mission is to employ people with disabilities and to generate an income used to support rehabilitation services for adults and children.

History of Crossroads Industrial Services

1936   Group of teenagers with disabilities initiated social activity program under volunteer leadership of Mrs. William Gavin. Mrs. P. R. Mallory became involved, and the group began to produce saleable handicrafts while meeting in churches, homes and community centers.
1939   The group became more formally organized under the leadership of The Indiana Society for Crippled Children.
1940   The group, known as The Crossroads, became an affiliate of the National Society for Crippled Children and leased headquarters at 39th and New Jersey.
1978   Crossroads Industrial Services moved from Sutherland Avenue building to West 16th Street location.

Crossroads Industrial Services moves into 67,000 square foot building at East 33rd Street and Franklin Road.
1998   Crossroads Industrial Services was awarded NISH contract with Department of Defense.
2003   Crossroads receives Letter of Commendation from the Secretary of the Army for "accelerated delivery" of Combat ID Panels in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom..
2004   PM-TIMS (DoD) presents Crossroads with a Certificate of Meritorious Achievement in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
2006  

Crossroads Industrial Services receives a Memorandum of Appreciation from the Defense Contract Managment Association (DCMA)

2009   Crossroads  exceeds the milestone of building over 100,000 Combat ID Panel Kits used to protect our war fighters.
2010   Crossroads established two new recycling businesses, for Polystyrene and for Used Books..
2011  

Crossroads is nominated as a Sustainability Award Finalist by the City of Indianapolis for our recycling achievements
