AbilityOne Program

Crossroads Industrial Services is a proud to be a participating nonprofit agency for AbilityOne, a Federal program that helps to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities, by manufacturing and delivering products and services for the Federal government. Supported by NISH, (National Institute for the Severely Handicapped) AbilityOne is the largest employer of people with disabilities, with over 41,000 people employed in 2009. As one of 1,300 nonprofit agency providers, Crossroads Industrial Services is committed to support the disabled by actively providing employment opportunities. In order to be designated as an AbilityOne provider, 75% of an organizations work force must have some form of physical or mental disability. At Crossroads, our focus is on Ability and we take pride in matching a person’s ability to meet our customer opportunities.
